Verizon’s Fios TV and high speed internet service is relatively new in the media communications industry. Depending on you area, TV and internet have usually been provided by a select few companies (such as Time Warner Cable and Comcast), so it’s always good to see a new competitor in the market so that we can compare service reviews and choose the television and internet provider that offers us the best deal.

The Verizon Fios Advantage

Verizon Fios is different than traditional cable companies. Fios TV and Internet is delivered through the latest fiber optic technology that allow Verizon to provide the fasted internet and then clearest picture quality we’ve seen (special thanks to our awesome HDTV as well). We wanted to point out some clear advantages of Verizon Fios when compared to Cable providers.

Verizon Fios Price will save you money

Fios TV and Fios Internet packages are less expensive than cable. In our case, we ended up saving between 20 – 25% when we switched over to Fios services. It may be because Verizon is a newcomer to the cable tv market, but their prices really can’t be beat. You can add on great channel packages that include channels such as HBO and Showtime for much less than you will pay when using a cable or satellite TV service.

Fios TV review gets a perfect 10

When we reviewed Fios TV service we were amazed at how much better it performed than typical cable services. Fios TV has a slightly clearer picture (in my opinion at least). Obviously cable light years behind Fios, but I can notice that Fios definitely delivers a clearer picture.

But more importantly, Fios TV is consistent. As someone who previously had TWC, I am so happy to not deal with TV programming that skips and sound that cuts out for seconds at a time when I’m watching The Office. Regardless on the deal I find, I pay good money for my TV services, and I expect to be able to watch my favorite television shows without being interrupted by skips and stutters. I have yet to encounter one issue with Fios TV – and it’s been almost 6 months.

Fios Internet Rated #1 in our opinion

This is a hot button for me since my previous email was so slow. Seriously, with modern technology, there is no excuse for pages not loading instantly and the online videos are not streaming with pauses for whatever “buffering” is. With Verizon Fios, the internet is really fast. Finally my roommates and I can stop arguing over who gets to stream Netflix at a given moment. We can each stream our favorite movies on our own computers without slowing down the others on our network.

Overall, I’m a big fan of Verizon Fios television and internet services. When writing my Verizon Fios review I had to tie in how it compared to Time Warner Cable because of my terrible experiences with TWC in the past. Fios is seriously your best option for TV and Internet. Unless you have a different cable provider who I didn’t have.
